Seeing a Facebook Story in Secret

The AirPlane mode Trick

The “Airplane Mode Trick” refers to a method some users try to use to view Facebook Stories secretly without the owner of the story being notified. However, it’s important to note that Facebook has implemented measures to protect the privacy of users and the content they share, including Stories.

As of my last update in September 2021, the “Airplane Mode Trick” no longer works for viewing Facebook Stories without being detected. When you view someone’s Facebook Story, they are typically notified that you have seen their content, even if you use Airplane Mode or other methods to try and hide your view.

To secretly view a Facebook Story without the person knowing:

  • Open Facebook and find the Story.
  • Enable Airplane mode.
  • View the Story without opening it.
  • Close Facebook.
  • Disable Airplane mode.

By using this trick, you can view Facebook Stories privately. Remember to respect others’ privacy when using this method.

Blocking the Person

Here are steps to secretly view a Facebook Story without the person knowing:

  • Launch the Facebook app on your mobile device or access Facebook through a web browser on your computer.
  • Search for the person’s profile or go to their profile page directly.
  • On the person’s profile, look for the three dots (ellipsis) icon on their cover photo (on mobile) or in the top-right corner of their profile (on the computer). Click on the three dots and select “Block.”
  • Facebook will show different blocking options. Select “Block [Name]” to block the person temporarily.
  • Confirm the action to block the person temporarily. When you do this, the person won’t be able to see your Stories, and you won’t be able to see theirs during the temporary block.
  • Once you’ve blocked the person, go to your Stories section and view the Story you want to see secretly. Since you’ve blocked the person, they won’t be able to see that you viewed their Story.
  • After viewing the Story, go back to the person’s profile and unblock them. This will restore your previous connection.

By temporarily blocking the person, you can discreetly view their Story without leaving any trace of your view.

Slightly Seeing the Story

  • Open the Facebook app or access Facebook through a web browser and go to the profile of the person whose Story you want to view secretly.
  • On their profile, click on the three dots (ellipsis) icon and select “Block” from the dropdown menu. Choose the option to “Block [Name]” temporarily.
  • Once you’ve blocked the person, go to the Stories section and view the Story you want to see secretly. Since you’ve blocked them, they won’t know that you’ve viewed their Story.
  • After viewing the Story, return to the person’s profile and unblock them. This will restore your previous connection with the person.

By temporarily blocking the person, you can discreetly see their Story without leaving any trace of your view.

Have A Mutual Friend Share it With You

To secretly view a Facebook Story without the person knowing, you can have a mutual friend share the Story with you. Here’s how it works:

  • If you and the person whose Story you want to view have a mutual friend, you can reach out to that mutual friend and ask them to share the Story with you directly.
  • When your mutual friend shares the Story with you, it will appear in your Messenger inbox as a direct message.
  • Open the shared Story from the direct message in Messenger. Since it was shared with you privately, the person who originally posted the Story won’t know that you’ve seen it.

By having a mutual friend share the Story with you directly, you can discreetly view the Story without leaving any trace of your view.

Deactivate your Facebook Profile

If you want to secretly view a Facebook Story without the person knowing, you can deactivate your Facebook profile temporarily. Here’s how it works:

  • Go to your Facebook settings and choose the option to deactivate your account temporarily. When you deactivate your account, your profile and activities will be hidden from other users, including the person whose Story you want to view.
  • While your account is deactivated, go to the person’s profile and view their Story. Since your account is deactivated, Facebook won’t track that you’ve seen the Story.
  • After viewing the Story, you can reactivate your Facebook account to restore your profile and activities. When you reactivate, your account will become visible to others again.

By deactivating your profile temporarily, you can discreetly view the Facebook Story without leaving any trace of your view.

Remember that respecting others’ privacy and consent is crucial in any online interactions. While you can watch a Facebook story without letting the user know, it’s essential to use this knowledge responsibly. Always seek permission before sharing or saving someone’s content and be mindful of building trustful relationships within the online community.
