How To Add Multiple Buttons In SharePoint

SharePoint users can easily add multiple buttons to their pages using the Button web part or the Call to Action web part. To add these buttons, simply go to the page where you want to add them and enter edit mode. Then, click on the “+” icon and search for the Button web part. Select the Button web part and edit it to customize the label text and link for each button. You can also choose the alignment of the buttons within the page. It is important to note that the button color is based on the site theme accent color and cannot be changed independently. Alternatively, you can use the Call to Action web part, which allows you to create buttons and highlight content on your SharePoint site page. However, please be aware that both the Button web part and the Call to Action web part are not available in SharePoint Server 2019.

Customizing Button Web Part in SharePoint

Users can customize the label text, link, alignment, and button color of the Button web part in SharePoint to create a visually appealing and functional set of multiple buttons.

To begin customization, go to the page where you want to add the buttons and enter edit mode. Click on the “+” icon to add a web part, and then search for the Button web part. Select the Button web part and edit it to make changes.

For each button, you can modify the label text and link by simply editing the respective fields. This allows you to provide clear and concise descriptions for each button and direct users to the desired content or actions.

In addition, you can choose the alignment of the buttons within the page to ensure they are displayed in the most visually pleasing and user-friendly manner. Whether you prefer a left, center, or right alignment, you have the flexibility to arrange the buttons according to your preference.

It’s important to note that the button color is determined by the site theme accent color. This means that the buttons will automatically adapt to match the overall color scheme of your SharePoint site. Unfortunately, the button color cannot be changed independently from the site theme accent color.

While the Button web part provides ample customization options, it’s worth mentioning that both the Button web part and the Call to Action web part are not available in SharePoint Server 2019. However, they are available in other versions of SharePoint, allowing users to enhance their pages with multiple buttons and improve the overall user experience.
