Error: “Unable to connect to ” when drilling down from a HP Diagnostics view

When attempting to access the Diagnostics Profiler for a probe by drilling down from a view in the HP Diagnostics user interface, that is, by right-clicking on the probe and selecting View Profiler for <probe-name> from the menu, the following errors were observed:

Unable to connect to <probe-name>

or:

An error occurred when connecting to <probe-name>

A possible cause of this issue is that duplicate probe names are being used. The name or identifier used to represent a Probe or Collector must be unique with HP Diagnostics. If duplicate probe names are used then the product may not operate as expected.
